Why carpet is heavier than you think
Padding soaks up moisture, and a roll from one big room can take two people to move. That's why we ask about stairs, the size of the rooms and whether it has been wet.
Timing it with new flooring
- Move your furniture out of the room first, or ask us to haul what's going.
- Have the old carpet out before your new flooring is due.
- Tell your installer that it's handled, and check that they aren't charging you for haul-away too.

Junk removal is priced by how much of the truck your load fills, from $225 for an eighth of a truck to $745 for a full one. Stairs, long carries and heavy materials can affect it, and you'll hear your price before we start.
