Residential Dumpster Rental for Your Home
A dumpster at your house raises different questions than one at a job site. Your driveway, your neighbors and your HOA all get a say.

What homeowners really want to know
- Will it hurt my driveway? Ours sit on wheels instead of being dragged off a truck. We go over your surface, slope and width with you first.
- Can you get through my gate? Yes. We deliver inside gated communities once gate access and HOA rules are sorted out.
- Will it be an eyesore? Keep it on your own driveway, keep the load level, and use a shorter rental if that matters on your street.
- Do I have to be home? Tell us your situation. We'll confirm placement ahead of time so delivery goes smoothly.
Before it arrives
- Move the cars and anything else from the spot where it will sit.
- Check your HOA rules if you have an HOA, and share any gate instructions with us.
- If it might have to go on the street, ask us first. Rules vary by city and a permit can be required.
- Get your helpers lined up, and plan where the heavy stuff goes: spread evenly across the floor.
Being a good neighbor
A dumpster on your driveway for a few days rarely bothers anyone, but a quick heads-up goes a long way. Let the people next door know how long it will be there. Keep the load level and inside the walls, so nothing blows into their yard. And if your neighbors see it and want to toss something in, remember that you're the one paying for the weight.
Which project are you doing?
Most home jobs fall into one of these. Each page walks through that job in more detail.
Driveway Safe is owned and run by David Steven in Lake Balboa. Call or text 818-231-3056 any hour, and tell us what you're working on.

Common questions
What size do most homeowners need?
A 10 yard handles a garage or a small remodel. A 15 yard suits a whole-home cleanout or a kitchen or bath remodel. Text us a photo if you're not sure.
Can you deliver inside my gated community?
Yes, once gate access and HOA rules are sorted out.
Can a family member load it while I'm at work?
Sure. Just make sure they know what can't go in: hazardous waste, chemicals, oil, paint and tires.
