Fire debris: check this first

Fire debris isn't like other junk. LA County warns that it can contain asbestos, lead and mercury. After a declared fire, county rules can also limit cleanup in the affected area until a government hazardous inspection is done, and can require county approval before debris is removed.

Before you call any hauler, check whether your property falls under a county or city fire order. See LA County Public Works. Don't sweep or shovel ash without protection.

We can't take hazardous waste. Once your property is cleared for removal, send us photos and we'll give you a price.

Getting ready for the crew

  • Take a few photos from different angles, including how we'd get to it.
  • Point out anything fragile that's near the pile, like sprinklers, lights or low walls.
  • Keep kids and pets away from nails, glass and broken branches.
  • If there's been a storm or a fire, take your photos for your insurance before we touch anything.

How to choose: crew or dumpster

If it's a one-time pile, our crew can load it and priced by the truck load, from $225 to $745. If you'll be clearing for days, a dumpster lets you work at your own pace. Dirt, stone and concrete are heavy, so ask first.
